Mediterranean Clay | Irish Sea Moss | White Kaolin Clay

A mineral-rich clay face mask with gentle but hard-working ingredients. Together, the clays help cleanse pores, absorb excess oil, and remove surface grime, while the sea moss brings hydration and conditioning to keep the whole operation from turning into the Sahara Desert.

The Face Mask That Means Business

Introducing the mask for when your face needs a little intervention.

The formula combines three ingredients that each have a job:

Mediterranean Clay: Mineral-rich clay that helps draw out excess oil, dirt, and impurities from the skin. Basically, it takes the stuff you don't want sitting on your face and politely removes it. “Politely” is doing some work here.

Irish Sea Moss: A nutrient-rich red algae containing minerals and polysaccharides that help support skin hydration and conditioning. The polysaccharides are particularly useful for helping the skin hold onto moisture, while the sea moss brings some soothing, skin-loving goodness to the party. It's the ingredient quietly trying to keep everyone calm while the clay handles the dirty work.

White Kaolin Clay: One of the gentler clays around, making it a good option for sensitive, dry, oily, and acne-prone skin. It helps absorb excess oil and surface impurities without aggressively sucking every molecule of moisture out of your face. Kaolin has a skin-friendly pH and is generally considered mild and non-irritating, which is nice because your face has suffered enough.

Regular use may also help leave skin looking smoother, more even, and generally less pissed off. The ingredients in this formula are valued for soothing irritation and supporting the skin's natural healing and renewal processes.

How to Use It

  1. Apply a warm towel to your face to give your pores a little encouragement.

  2. Using a NON-METAL bowl and utensils, mix 1 teaspoon of mask with 1 teaspoon of water to form a paste. Feeling fancy? Add a drop of honey and/or replace the water with rosewater.

  3. Apply an even layer to your skin. Avoid the eye and lip areas.

  4. Rinse before the mask becomes completely dry and starts pulling every ounce of moisture from your face (about 5-15 minutes).

  5. Apply your favorite toner and moisturizer to finish the job. Use 1–2 times a week, depending on how your skin behaves.

Quick product note: You don't get bonus points for letting it dry out and crack into the geological formations of the Grand Canyon. If your skin feels excessively tight or uncomfortable, rinse it off sooner.

If you've never used sea moss or clay on your skin before, patch test first. Some people can be sensitive or allergic to algae or other ingredients. If you experience redness, itching, swelling, or irritation, discontinue use.

Your pores will not write you a thank-you note. They're pores. But your face may feel considerably cleaner, smoother, and more balanced afterward, which is basically the same thing.
